“Rebecca Abrey won the Pro Arte Award for her painting Still Life With Anemones, a title which gives little hint of the pleasure the painting gave the judges.”The Artist Magazine
Rebecca Abrey was born in Herefordshire but has lived in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds since 2001.
She is an imaginative artist with a deep love of colour and texture which comes through in her work.
There is a joyful naivety about her paintings which many respond to at an emotional level.
Rebecca works in many different media and takes inspiration from natural forms and domestic life, often juxtaposing the two.
She won ‘The Artist’ magazine prize in 2006 and has built up a strong following of collectors ever since.
